LUST & OTHER DEMONS, Hammer Falls:1

Belonging can be Hell.

When Jin moves to the remote Scottish town of Hammer Falls after years of neglect, trauma and chaos, his modus operandi is simple: never belong, never attach, because both just bring pain. What he doesn't know is if he does ever belong, his lust demon father will take him to Hell forever the day he turns 18. So when he meets gorgeous, part-angel Nate, Jin finds his problems are only just beginning.

  • Demons, angels, werebears, magic, hot sex and a big problem

  • Prickly, demonic, velvet-loving outsider meets strong, silent, self-contained demon killer

  • Gaslighting, high angst, bad ideas and mortal peril

  • Lust magic that’s not nearly as nice as it sounds and steamy sex that totally is

First in a trilogy containing messy love & high-heat gay (MM) sex. Books 2 & 3 also contain male-only polyamory as part of a key relationship.

AUTHOR NOTE: Hammer Falls started life as a Shadowhunters-TeenWolf-Twilight mashup fanfic before evolving into its own thing. None of it has been published previously and where similarities remain, I promise they're necessary! Themes of good and evil are deeply explored and this trilogy isn't recommended for people likely to be offended by speculative views about religion.

Released August 2022. Length: 190K

Content Warnings: Book contains explicit sex NOT suitable for younger readers. Death (human & animal, offpage), mentions of traumatic past inc neglect & suicidalism, brief torture, injury & violence, racist & homophobic comments aimed at the MC, bullying, casual sex, sex outside relationship, some underage alcohol consumption, refs to part-shifted sex (with shifter), gaslighting, demons, vomiting & failure to eat when stressed, non-consenting posting of sex video

SONS OF HEAVEN & HELL, Hammer Falls: 2

Love and lust, when all that matters is distance.

Ever since Jin met his demon father, Ashmedai, and saw the rather galling similarities between them, he's been plagued by the idea he's bad. He can see it in the deceiving effects of his lust-demon eyes, the friendship he ruined with best friend Sam, and in the many horribly obvious differences between himself and his noble part-angel boyfriend Nate. Now even his ‘magic’ is turning sinister and evil, craving something terrible…

When Nate unexpectedly leaves for a place at the oppressive Seminary, Jin begins to spiral - doubting everything he thought he knew about love, sex, good and evil. But nothing is what he thinks: not the Seminary, not his magic, and certainly not his father’s plans.

Can Jin overcome his fears about what being 'good' enough means in time to save not just himself but the people he loves, before his father gets what he wants?

  • Supernatural bonding, forced secrecy, jealousy, friends-to-lovers

  • Traumatic pasts/comfort. Very high angst.

  • Very steamy gay sex (MM & MMM polyamory)

  • Double-demons and lashings of mortal peril.

Released December 12th 2022. Length: 184K

Content warnings: explicit sex scenes NOT suitable for younger readers. Also polyamory, jealousy, voyeurism & mild exhibitionism, restraint, death (human & animal, offpage but gory & briefly described), parental death of a secondary character, traumatic past including neglect, abuse & suicidalism, injury and violence, homophobic bullying, casual sex, some underage alcohol consumption, separation of MCs, threats to life, forced bonding, reference to (and theme of) harvesting personal items and body parts, threatened rape, assault.

CONTROL: A Hammer Falls Novella (2.5)

An add-on novella (2.5) FREE to newsletter subscribers that should be read between Sons of Heaven & Hell (Hammer Falls: 2) and The Tree of Life (Hammer Falls: 3). Highly recommended for series fans - adding details Nate has missed and giving insight into things relating to books 2 and 3. It is NOT a standalone and cannot be read in that way.

Grappling with a terrible truth only he knows, Leo Crow is doing all he can to prove his loyalty to the shadowy, controlling Seminary whilst keeping his siblings safe in a world where their family’s very name is disgrace. Working against him? Three things: his crushing guilt and confusion about things he couldn't stop or change, a brother who won't stop researching things Leo knows he shouldn't and a sexy, carefree demonstalker who breezes in without any idea of the consequences it might cause Leo, and changes everything. As Leo does everything he can to keep his distance and stop his brother, something has to give… but what?

  • An untellable secret

  • A family in disgrace

  • Loyalty at all costs

  • High-heat, high-angst & high-stakes

Released Jan 5th 2023. Length: 36K

Content Warnings: Explicit high-heat gay (male-male sex), strong swearing, gaslighting, violence (to demons). Dealing with a death is a major theme including questions about suicide & murder. The book refers to & plays off various events in the first two books of the series.

THE TREE OF LIFE, Hammer Falls: 3

As Nate returns to the Seminary, to a terrible fate, Jin battles to hold onto the belonging he's only just begun to build, which he needs so he can face his father and save those he loves. But life and, especially, Ashmedai have other ideas - and while the struggles and heartache mount for Jin, his father's long-game finally becomes clear. Facing manipulation, betrayal and excruciating loss, Jin must decide what belonging really means and whether he does belong in Hammer Falls, or anywhere, when all he does is cause pain.

Demon deals, uprisings, betrayals, uninvited visitors, legacies of control and power and the pressing question: Where's the line between loyalty and free will?
