Tal Frost profile moon logo

Tal (he/him) is a trans, mostly gay author who writes epic contemporary Gay/Queer romantic fantasy involving demons, angels, werecreatures, wyrdlings, humans, magic of variable quality, messy, complex love and lashings of hot gay sex - monogamous, polyamorous, experimental, casual and not-so-casual.

I’ve a longstanding fascination with religious mythology that led to a first-class degree in Religious Studies and in-depth forays into folklorism, ancient belief systems, anthropology, cryptozoology, paranormalism, lost languages, divination and the unknown. Those fascinations found their way into nearly everything I wrote before to deciding to actually become a writer and will most likely keep finding their way in :)

I was born in Germany but grew up here, there and everywhere and probably still haven’t settled. As an adult I’ve spent most of my time either in the hills of Wales or the hills of Devon, where I currently live.

I’ve worked as a content writer, proofreader & editor, as well as doing a bit of lecturing in Religious Studies and Creative Writing and various random jobs in sales, admin, librarianship and ‘extra’ acting. My many loves include dancing to loads of different types of music, singing whilst playing guitar (the latter really quite badly), watching quirky films/series, drawing, crafting things, reading good gay romance and fantasy, chatting, being alone in the dark, playing Scrabble and doing/solving puzzles.

Oh, and as some of you probably know, I’m absolutely with Jin on the topic of velvet ;)

And Sam is my book boyfriend.
