Writing Updates!Again, many thanks for putting up with me being a bit quiet on FB – I’m 10-12 hrs a day on The Tree of Life at the mo and fiiiinally narrowing in on the end of draft one (I reckon 10 days ish). Looks like it will be a similar length to Lust and SOHAH, each of which took 9 months from nose to tail. I’m hoping the editing will be faster on this one but I hoped that with SOHAH too so we’ll see lol. In any case, I’m VERY excited I’ll finally have a completed draft to start hammering away at!! I’ll keep you posted! After that, there are two Hammer Falls novellas in the pipeline (one concurrent and one a prequel), for which I’m already gathering my notes! 😉 FB group: Tal Frost’s Werebears & Wyrdlings |

Moons & Myth:Today’s full moon is the Hawthorn Moon, known by the Celts as Huath (pron: hoh-uh) and considered a time of fertility, energy, fire, and raw, phallic energy 🔥🍆🔥 Hawthorn was considered the tree most likely to be inhabited or protected by the Fae. The leaves can be eaten and had the country name of “bread and cheese”. The berries can also be used to make wine and jellies 😋 Britain’s most famous hawthorn is the ‘Glastonbury Thorn’, supposedly manifested by the Virgin Mary’s Uncle Joe (Joseph of Arimathea) from the blood and sweat of Jesus. It can be contrasted with the nearby druidic ‘Oaks of Avalon’ (pictured) – a pair of oaks named after the ancient apocalyptic figures Gog and Magog. |

Naked Friends: KC CarmineNaked this month in my spotlight section for awesomely supportive authors is KC Carmine! KC’s a Polish author living in the UK (she lived in the US for a while first). She used to be an English teacher AND played guitar in a punk band in Poland for 8 years! As a member of the queer community, she considers it important to represent a diverse range of voices in her writing so writes a whole range of books, including kink & BDSM. She says characters in her books don’t represent anyone from her life, though “tidbits of their behaviour and the stuff happening around them is inspired by what I’ve seen in others or been through.” Fun fact: KC loves tattoos and has more than ten of them!! Her favourite is a microphone with roses 🌹🖤 and she’s in the middle of getting another… What’s happening now? Her next project is a collaboration with Kat McIntyre (I know right?!!) about two guys meeting on a comic con dressed as Batman and Spiderman - features double bi-awakening, geeks & cosplay! (Coincidentally, I was looking for a gif of Batman and Spiderman for this month’s Sam Section - but couldn’t find one I liked!! Just sayin’ lol). Her next solo book will be The Golden Handcuffs, which is next in the Pursuit of Love series and already available for pre-order (https://mybook.to/GoldenHandcuffs ) - it features the Dom readers meet in The Sinner’s Penance and a new security guy hired by the club… Latest Release! KC has just released the Sinner’s Penance (see below), which adds to her fabulous Pursuit of Love series (though it’s also a standalone). It’s a book for which she says she didn’t have to do much research, since the Catholic Church was such a huge and compulsory presence for her growing up, in politics, schools “and everywhere else”.
